You are a "Crocodile Hunter" fan, aren't you? I know, me too. I was cooking in my kitchen, my sister-in-law, who's English isn't very good came and told me this; "That one crazy guy who's always chasing animals died." I looked at her and I said; "You aren't talking about the "Crocodile Hunter" are you?" She said, yeah that's the one, and I immediately searched for on-line news to get the details. And I think I will always remember because he was pretty special.

I don't know exactly where I was but I found out on the computer a few hours after it happened.
No I for sure will not remember it for my whole life because I don't find him significant. It's sad when any human dies, OF COURSE, but he is not a important enough person to me to remember what I was doing while he died. Quite frankly, I didn't realize he was as important to anyone as many people make it seem on here. Kind of odd to me, but whoever people want to look up to is fine by me.

I live in Cairns and found out about the death through a friend who works at the Marine Parks Authority here in Cairns...
she called me on my cell phone at about 12pm Monday and told me that Steve Irwin's body was being flown back to Cairns from Low Isles...that he had been pierced through the heart with a stingray barb...
I was standing in the kitchen of my brothers house and I just couldnt believe it...I felt myself about to pass out with shock...
I couldnt say anything except..."Steve's dead" to my brother and his girlfriend...they didnt believe me and we didnt until the news flash came on the radio and confirmed it for us...
Living in Cairns, having swam at the same reef countless times with countless stingrays and meeting Steve through friends who share a property boarder with Steve...his death has affected me probably more than most...I still cant believe its true but deep down I know it is...

The news came on the tv I was watching while sitting in the emergency triage section of the local hospital waiting for someone to remove the stingray spike from my chest.

I was at home, reading lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself because I had a cold.
The news came on, and I realised how lucky I was.
Will I always remember? Perhaps, perhaps not. What I will always remember is feeling so devistated for his beloved wife and children.

I was at the dirt track races. I remember only because it was a couple of days ago. In a few more days, I won't be able to tell you.

I was hanging out over at my friends house, we got bored so we turned on his TV. He didn't have cable so we ended up watching the crummy old news, then I saw it flash across the news ticker thing at the bottom. At first I didn't even believe it.
