well it turns out that while katherine was married to phillip chancolor after she had her son brock she had an affair with a man and became pregnant she gave the baby away for adoption it turns out a dear freind the woman jill thought was her real mother adopted her! and kay didn't know jill was her daughter becuse she never knew who had adopted the baby! but when jills mom was dying she confessed to kay and jill that jill was the baby that kay had given away all those years ago! so jill is kays daughter!

back in the day they hated each other. seeing them as mom and daughter freaks me out.
