Govt provides a centralized authority for organization and distribution of resources, support of a military, and enforcement of the law.

Generally, a govt is necessary unless people are able to self-govern themselves, respect the rights of others, and generally act in a functioning social context without law enforcement.

Pros:
-You stay alive longer
-You get to sleep with both eyes closed
-Commidienns have a constant source of new material.

Cons:
-Democrats think that other people actually agree with them
-Religious nutjobs with money get to have more power
-When Libertarians hand out free toy guns in front of elementary schools in Harlem, people feel entitled to complain.

con: prone to corruption

pro: Need representative for foreing affairs

con: Dont always represent the majority view

It is meant to be good and protect us, and basically I believe it gives us security. But there are times when they go too far, and other times when they are very slow about solving problems.

pro: Without one if you have something i want and your not strong enough to stop me yourself then what was yours is mine including your own personal freedom

con: loss of freedom to centralized authority
