It gets much faster the more you do it. Right now you are fighting with both physical and mental things that will soon become second nature. When I first started it would take forever to learn a new song. Now I can learn songs on the fly. I often play with a band, where I get a chart and if I'm lucky a single pass through before its gig time. Complicated arrangements might take a while though. It took me two years to be able to play I've grown accustomed to her Face by Wes Montgomery.

It depends on a lot of things..,other people have cited many of them. I would just add that you shouldn't worry about it too much. Some poeple will pick it up faster, some slower. Some have huge freakin hands and can do things I can only wish for.
If you enjoy playing, don't sweat it.
That said, there might be changes you can make to how you learn to make it go faster. I'll mention 2:
1) go slow in the beginning. Speed will come eventually, but you'll learn faster if you go SLOOOW.
2) Break the song down in to tiny chunks. Maybe four notes. Learn that. Then learn the next two notes with it, or learn the next four notes by themselves and then put it together. Keep doing that for the entire song.
Small chunks. Trying t fight your way through the whole song is a waste of time.
Those two tips might speed you up a LOT.

You will be surprised at how fast you will learn. Keep practicing the chords for now and when you get good at changing the chords and pick and strum patterns you can play a new or different song that day especially when some songs are only 3-4 chords. Example is Already Gone by the Eagles.

Yeah, this depends on how good a guitar player you are. Some people pick up a new song in like a day others take longer. Depends on how good your ears are too, if you have good relative pitch its much easier then if your tone deaf :)
My brother picks up stuff just by listening on the radio but I usually have to get guitar tab to read in order to play something right. Its easy to find on the internet though.
Also it depends how exactly you want to play the song, just learning the chords is us ally easy but if you want to learn the solo note for note its gonna take a lot longer.

Depends on the difficulty of the song. I took almost a few months before I can play Master Of Puppets Intro. I'm nowing trying to do Bach's Luite Suite No.4 Prelude by Jason Becker and 24th Caprice and things aren't going so well.

if you want only to play guitar you can play it now thw only thing you need is knowing about tablature(number of frets on guitar) i think that with tab you dont need many musical information but if you have some it is useful you can use tablature software with tab soft you can understand beats and time and ..... try this software:guitar pro and powertab guitar pro is not free but powertab is free websites that have powertab and guitar pro tabs are:911tab.com ultimate guitar.com(check the spelling in google) you can download power tab in that sites.in the end i want to tellu you can be great player with out or by having very little information and when you use tab you will learn the information in the easiest way.if you have aNY QUESTION ABOUT TAB PM ME(KOOROSH9000@YAHOO.COM).AND DONT THINK ABOUT THE TIME THAT IT TAKE IF YOU DEVOTE MORE TIME FOR A SONG FOR THE NEXT SONG YOU USE LESS TIME FOR PLAYING THAT just try practice and always play a song completly

It takes more time depending on how hard the song is and how you practice it.
It'll probably take less time by breaking the song into little parts then slowly building up to playing the whole song as you get each part played well.

It ALL depends on the song. If you're trying to play Classical Gas, yeah, it'll def take a while, but learning some simpler ones aren't as bad. Also depends how well you pick it up.
