I recently retired - for the second time - from a 40-year career in nursing, ten of which were in the U.S. Army. And yes, us guys are expected to do any and all the jobs a female nurse might be asked to do -such as help deliver babies and provide post-partum care. Surprised? Don't be - we're as good at the job as any woman - and I've had female patients tell me they deeply apprecate the care we give. I retired a nursing supervisor. Don't regret that career choice at all - though a personal medical problem forced an early retirement.

I don't. I am finishing my degree. My husband serves his country and they take care of us very well and put us in the situation so that it is not vital for me to work. I am very grateful.
