I just reached level 3 today, too.
And 'no', nothing happens.

Level 1 from 1 - 249 points
You need 250 - 999 points to get to level 2
You need 1,000 - 2,499 points to get to level 3
You need 2,500 - 4,999 points to get to level 4
You need 5,000 - 9,999 points to get to level 5
You need 10,000 - 24,999 points to get to level 6
You need 25000+ points to get to level 7

im about to reach 150 points... whats gonna happen??? i was kinda hoping a box would show up outside my door and when i opened it balloons and confetti would come out

I don't remember.
I think that with 1000 points you can answer 40 questions a day.
