See your doctor

They may freeze the wart or prescribe a wart paste (salicylic acid) and they also may scrape the wart once it hardens.

The best way to get rid of warts, including planter's warts, I've found is to use lemon essential oil undiluted directly onto the site as many times a day as you like withing a few weeks the wart will turn black and come away from the body.

Plantar warts can be very stubborn and persistant, but they almost always go away on their own. People get concerned when they are painful, or in a cosmetically unappealing area. The OTC remedies are usually based on dissolving them with a weak acid...most often, Salicylic acid. It may come in the form of a paste or gel or even in an adhesive strip. It is important to use the product daily for best results. It is also important to remove the surface dead skin with a pumice stone or sandpaper, then apply the product for best results. Do it at bedtime, and cover it with a bandaid.

Compound W makes some pads that you wear on them especially for planters warts. The doctor wanted to freeze my daughter's but we tried these before we decided to have them froze. They worked really good on hers.

Have them removed by the doctor.
With either cutting them out, burning them with acid, or freezing them.
You need to get the root out so usually it takes several treatments.
Also, throw away old shoes..
The virus tends to stay on the surface.
There are lots of over the counter remedies, but they need to be used often on the same wart to get rid of it... and if you have good health insurance it may be faster to just go get them taken off.
Don't walk around barefoot, as they are contagious.
