No, wearing a tampon will not 'de-virgenize' you! What happens is that the tissues called 'the hymen' will rupture though, which means when you have sex for the first time you won't have bleeding like anyone else who has not had it ruptured already - such as tampon use... You don't say how old you are, but a tampon would be good for your own hygiene while in the swimming competition, although limit use and make sure as soon as the competition is over to remove it and let things flow naturally, as tampons can cause a multitude of problems with prolonged usage.

Good luck in your comptetion... hope you win!!!

O.o i dont think there is such a thing honey.
since youre gonna be swimming you should either wear a tampon or explain it to your coach/instructor. Sometimes they prefer not to have you swim.

By the way; I dont think you can be "de-virginized". And it wouldnt help anyways.

she is right but start out with the smallest tampon they have and be careful inserting because if you don't insert correctly they hurt and be careful not to push it in to far or you will have a hard time getting it out be sure to leave the string hanging so it will be easy to remove. and no you do not de-virginized trust me i am 36 and 2 kids

Virginity means never having intercourse. Whether or not your hymen is intact does not affect virginity. For instance, I had a medical problem (endometriosis) and needed to have a D&C, which resulted in a broken hymen. At that point, although my hymen was not intact, I was still a virgin because I did not have intercourse (or any other form of sex) with a man.

No, not unless when you say "tampon" you mean "penis". Seriously though, sexual intercourse is defined as a penis entering your vagina, not a tampon. Having sexual intercourse would make you no longer a virgin. Therefore, it is ok to wear tampons; you will still be a virgin.

they make junior size tampons specifically for 'virigns'. besides, in my opinion, hymens aren't all they're cracked up to be. it tears as soon as you go in and then it's just like any other, except the girl is bleeding and in pain. really not all that great. it's more fun when the girl is able to enjoy it to.

to be a virgin means you have not had sex, Putting in the tampon may hurt the first time as you vagina is 'tight' and not use to it but that in no way makes you de-virginized.

No. There's space in your hymen for the tampon to get through.

And technically, you only get "de-virginized" through sexual intercourse.
