Why are so many people political cheerleaders???

Question

So many people want to cheer for their political party like cheerleaders which to me show they are uninformed idiots. Why do we even have canidates who waist millions of dollars campaining we should just put a D and a R on the ballot and just vote that way. Noone listenes to the other sides issues the just I am a Republicans and Democrats are ( place negative term here) and vice versa it really make America look stupid in the eyes of the rest of the world. So why is that?

It's a good question. Mind you, there's nothing wrong with partisanship, but *blind* partisanship is insane. I think it has to do with people not really having time to learn about the issues, but they don't want to feel left out, so they pick up a few opinions from the radio or web, and turn into a cheerleader.

My solution is to quit looking at parties and start looking at performance. The current Congress has failed as a group, so we need to vote "no" to every incumbent running for election. If the next Congress doesn't do a better job, fire them, and keep firing them until we get a group of people in DC who are committed to managing the country efficiently.

A lot of people don't like this idea, of course. They'd rather keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

What really makes us look stupid is when tax dollars go toword our President's Illegal indeavors, more tax dollars go for finding out about it, more tax dollars to prove it's illegal, more tax dollars into the court system for law suits by those who were effected illegally, then more tax dollars to correct the enitial illegal Presidential action ... only to pay Mr President with our tax dollars to stand there and say, "yeah, we were doing that." - Then MORE TAX DOLLARS because he FREAKIN APPEALS! WTF!?
