Neo-con is short for neo-conservative, meaning new conservative.

In the 1970s and 1980s many ex-Democrats shifted conservative, and joined the Republican party. These new conservatives (neo-cons) saw the advantages of a strong federal government, as a means to advance their social agenda on a national scale.

There are multiple other "sides". For example, there are older fiscal conservatives, who oppose the big government model that the neo-cons have turned the Republican party into.

A neo-con means neo-conservative or new conservative.
It applies to Bush Republicans and is backed by PNAC, the Project for a New American Century, founded by some Zionists and Cheney and Rumsfeld.
Basically they want to make the US the sole world power and extend American influence over the whole globe.
Good idea?

The neo-conservative movement is more interested in centralizing power and passing the furthest of the far right agenda possible than actual conservatism. They apologize profusely for the president, usually confusing the argument with fun facts about how Clinton is to blame 6 years after leaving office and whatnot.
