Shoot, a million years ago when I was in grade school my teacher told me about a survey done with people that didn't speak English on the most beautiful word. The result was two words: cellar door. Go figure. No one knew what the words meant - only their sound.

Not sure how high this is on trivia - but its true.

Mise en Place (meez n plah) french term which is used mostly in the culinary field. It means to be prepared and ready with your ingredients and kitchen tools already out or whatever your working with in the kitchen. My chefs always tells us to have our Mise en Place ready before we start on our dish.

my girlfriend loves the word avuncular. I think it means uncle or something like that. My most hated word is arm pitt. Eww. So gross!
