Good question and I hope my response may shed a small or HUGE light in the eyes of many. NO it did not.... I am 41 and a pilot for Delta, my lover is a Master Sergent is the army and it has been absolute hell for us. I am able to transfer where I need to go as my tenure with Delta is long, and fro the other, well, the government choses his next base with ease and then he gets his orders to transfer. Well, it has been tough on us as he can not tell them that he needs the option for family transfer because he is listed as single in the army and only qualifies for XYZ amount. Yet, we have 2 of us and 4 dogs and 2 tanks of saltwater fish, bl;ah blah, well, the money is pittance to move on and we end up having to foot a large part of the relocation for this. It is crap and there needs to be a better way for this. What in the hell is wrong with gay men and women? Are we that bad? patooooie on the rules at hand.... Have a great night!!

I don't think so. Clinton was too afraid to take a stand so he decided to make policy out of common practice. He didn't really afford them any protections, so in that respect he may have made things worse for them. Essentially, what he said was, "Stay in the closet." How does that help?

Did anyone ever really need to ask in the first place? Usually pretty obvious. I would say not.

dont really care, but if that kind of news did leak out, then that person could make a career out of the military without being justified in doing so.... kind of like a shield around him/her...
