I don't think any one person would look at these like I do.

1- America was founded by many different people, most where English, but we don't speak English here, we speak "American" just ask someone from England. I do believe that our school system, nationwide should teach a common language
2-we worry so much about the board with Mexico, what about our boarder to the north. I think there should be a law for illegal, but there should also be a way for them to come in legally, a 10 year waiting list for Mexicans, but not for others.
3- Agree under the god I believe in? Or the one someone else believes in. I think it is everyone god, no matter how you see him or her. The pledge should not change, if someone doesn't like it, then they can live, it's free country.
4- I think everyone should have a photo ID for voting and driver’s license and ID tags.
5- yes and just have a flat tax of 10% on all spending, that way we all pay for what we get, you send a lot you pay a lot, no hiding under all the tax codes. After age 62 the taxes go away.
6-yes, if you take my property, market cost +10%
7- Energy independence, yes. Unlimited drilling no. lets make trucks pass a MPG rating and take away some of the laws covering the manufacture of car.
8-we had one until we went to war, not say right or wrong, but we had one.
9-yes, but why stop there, tie presidents/senators/elected officials campaign to competency & accountability. A workers hiring to a contract. Government jobs not changing after a person is hired, Taking care of our men & women who fight for this country.
10-how, we can't find one man, how can we monitor them?
11-waste more money on hearing. Where did it say that we have to watch over everyone else?

I am not a political person, never vote a party line until now. After what the Bush administration has done with the FAA, and the TSA, and what big business are doing to their workers, I'll vote Democratic

1 - How would anyone benefit from government literature being printed exclusively in English? That's a campaign promise? What else, will the candidate promise to change all Korean restaurant signs to English?
2 - I don't have a problem with stopping illegal immigration. Large corporations that exploit immigrants will definitely have a problem though.
3 - Why does the governenment have to pass a law allowing Under God to stay in the pledge? Why is that a political issue? Separation of church and state exists for a reason. If you're religious, go to your church on Sundays. Don't push it on the rest of us.
4 - Requiring a photo ID to vote is just common sense.
5 - Estate taxes only affect estate transfer of more than one million dollars. I don't see how that would affect me at this point, so I don't care.
6 - Agree with the restoration of private property rights. Right now the government is exploiting their power to take away private property, only to turn that over to another private owner as a returned favor for campaign donations.
7 - Promoting alternative fuels should be the focus. Drilling of national parks should only be allowed when all other options have been exhausted.
8 - Balance that budget. Bush has done enough to drive it into a deficit.
9 - Investing more money in education is paramount. We should be ashamed of investing so much capital on the Defense budget but skimping on Education funding. Priorities #1, #2 and #3 of the next government should be education, education, education.
10 - And increase the power to monitor everyone? I completely disagree. This current government is already showing a complete disregard to our privacy rights (illegaly, I might add). We don't need to make it worse.
11 - Iran and North Korea should have been the focus from the get-go. Iraq is a waste of time.

Maybe I should run for office. I feel 3 times more qualified than the candidate with the above agenda.

1.I would support this
2.I would also support this.
3.This is dumb. We are not one nation under god – never been, never will be.
4.Requiring a photo ID to vote is violating the voting act.
5.I would support his
6.I would support this
7.I think we need to be careful about where we drill. If you drill, you will have oil spills 100% of the time. I don’t want this occurring of the coast of CA. The Gulf of Mexico is basically a cesspool anyway so putting more rigs there is a good idea. Perhaps we should put a few rigs on the grounds of the White House.
8.I would support this.
9.How would you do this? The problem is that most administrators and other government personnel are no smarter than our teacher.
10.The government already has too much power. Our clown in office has violated the constitution on a daily basis. We need to monitor the police and government and not the other way around.
11.What will public hearings accomplish in North Korea and Iran?

We need to monitor this clown in the White House very carefully. You can tell by his shifty eyes and inability to look someone directly in the eyes that his a wholesale liar.

I am a Libertarian.

Absolutely YES.

I only disagree with Item 7 and here is why.

The Bush Admin is moving us to a Hydrogen power economy. I believe this is a good thing and it is being funded/developed by the oil and car companies. If oil becomes too cheap due to local drilling, the incentive might go away.

Furthermore, thinking ahead, we should keep our oil in the ground as long as possible. Let everyone else pump first. I think this is smart strategy in the global game.

[Note: Anyone thinking 'Under God' or prayer in the halls of Congress and the Supreme court are un-American really needs to read George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation to understand how the Founding Fathers felt about the matter. Recent efforts to suppress free religious expression are anti-American.]

I agree with all of them except 1, 3, and 7.

I disagree with 1 because not all American citizens understand the English language enough to read it. Many citizens have migrated here from other countries, but the are still citizens. I believe they have a right to get documents in their native language. Especially when they are filling out important documents that could potentially get them in trouble if they do not understand them fully.

I don't agree with 3 because we are not one nation under God. It may have been that way back when our forefathers were founding this country. However, in this day and time there are to many citizens of this country who do not believe in God. Religion is a very personal, private choice. It should be left up to the parents as to which religion their children participate in. The United States is about freedom. Forcing ones own religious beliefs on the entire country is not freedom.

I disagree with 7 because this will destroy what little wilderness this country has left. I feel that it is extremely important to preserve our wildernesses for the generations to come. There are other alternatives to drilling and destroying our land.

Issue 5 is very important to me as I will inherit more than a million dollars from my parents.
9 is also very important to me as I have 3 teen daughters and it is appalling to me that several of their teachers are incompetent. My oldest daughter is very intelligent and has proven her teachers wrong many times and that is just sad that she has to do this.

Yes to all but 3, 7, 9. I like the pledge the way it is, but don't need to legislate it.

I don't want to sacrifice America for few more drops of oil. We have the technology to do something different...we just lack the motivation.

And let's stop blaming teachers for stupid kids and dumber parents. Hey we aren't all Einsteins and no teachers in the world are going to change that. (I know I'm not an Einstein either...ya got me!!).

Everything else, this Liberal Democrat would be supportive of.

No. Read the first point and didn't need to go further. Don't disagree with all of your points, but 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10 are all inherently anti-American (at least in the ways they will likely be practiced).

I don't vote for anti-Americans.
