Some people intentionally give bad answers: they don't think they should be doing someone elses homework.
Other people aren't intentionally giving bad answers. _A lot_ of people do not understand the order of operations which are essential when typing mathematics on a computer. This was illustrated recently in the question, "Compute e^e^e." Note that
e^e^e and (e^e)^e are different.
Other people are making honest mistakes. They misread and/or misunderstand the questions. Sometimes that is because of how it is stated, sometimes it is based on their lack of knowledge.
I like to think that most people are giving their best shot. I am not sure what to think of the ranking. I see a lot of good answers with low ranks and a lot of awful answers with high ranks. When deciding between right and wrong, look at profiles and the types of questions the person has answered before.
Personally, I think it is easier to not read an obvious homework question than it is to answer it with "Do your own homework!" Other times, there are some very exotic homework problems posed and a good instructor usually wouldn't mind an intelligent student getting a big hint in a unique way, as long as they really learned something about the mathematics in the process.
Good luck! :)

I think it was probably your fault for not being clear. If you're using scientific notation, you should indicate exponents with a ^. And if you're not using scientific notation, then the correct answer was given several times.
Wait a minute, you actually got both answers. Mathgirl826 intrepreted your question the first way.
Oh, and if you were just looking for a 'yes' answer, then you should go eat your own feces. That joke was funny back in preschool.

It appears that you used exponents which did not show that way to most readers. I saw 103 not 10 to the 3rd power which was how mathgirl read it and how I assume you meant it. Perhaps your keyboard is different or something and the symbols didn't display to the rest of us.

I guess I missed the question. What was it??
Oh.... Never mind. You're the one who couldn't figure out how to turn a calculator on or how to use it or something like that.

Because they don't know math, so if they had to answer that question, they'd post it here?

It looks like you forgot to indicate exponents.

Did it ever occur to you that people might deliberately give you wrong answers because we are really sick and tired of people wanting us to do their homework for them?

It's because your real questions was "can someone solve this?" ? So the answer you were looking for was a "yes"
just guessing...because their computations were correct.
Edit: WTF? I get a thumbs down for being able to look at a problem from a different angle? ....bah....hahahaha
