rejection does hurt.
everyone hurts.

there are people who play it
and sit back and take in the show.

what i have learned is,
never but never,
tell anyone how you are vulnerable.
because if you do,
it will come back to haunt you.

I don't know if it has to do with my sexual preference, or that I'm actually more in touch with my sensible side but I've been told by girl and guy friends that I don't hold that much back, and I know is true. I cry my eyes out when I'm watching some serious drama in a movie, get excited to the point of dancing when I listen a song that I adore and laugh my back off when somebody tells a joke or does something very funny. Who knows, I'm just don't see my self as a guy who would conceals his feelings because they might be consider as a weakness.

Depends on how she does it.

If she tells you nicely that she thinks that you are a good guy, but she just wants to be friends, then it stings a little, but you get over it quickly. Can't please eveyone, you know.

However, most girls seem to think that it is funny or cute to try to be as rude as possible when telling a guy "no thanks" (probably because she doesn't know how to handle the situation), and that really hurts -- no one likes it if he was simply trying to be nice and some girl acts rude in return. Think about how you would feel -- guys are just as human as you are and have the same feelings.

Not only that, but if you reject a guy in a very rude way in public, especially if you make a scene and embarrass him, then other guys notice how you acted, and now many of them will be afraid to ask you out because they saw you being rude to someone else. They assume that if they ask you out, you will treat them the same way.

Guys do not show emotion, because we think that if we let you know that you hurt us, then you will be encouraged to hurt us some more. Also, most girls are not attracted to weak men, so we try to act strong so that other girls won't reject us for looking weak.

----edit-----

PS: Being rejected a lot doesn't make someone get used to it -- it sometimes has the opposite effect. Getting rejected a lot can make a person get down on himself, and it can make him feel bitter & frustrated. Rejection hurts less if it is such a rare event that you can dismiss the one person who rejected you as being abnormal.

if the rejection is for the first time and if it is from the person he has loved for so long then boys do get hurt. but once the pain of first rejection gets over he knows that it is a regular thing so boys dont think it is a big deal. but boys do become little careful to approach after the first rejection.but if you liked the boy and you rejected just for teh sake for your ego be careful... boys usually dont look back at u..

Why would men feel any different about rejection than women?
