Yes..And Jiraiya apologized because it was the Fourth Hokage's wish for Naruto to become a hero. And plus the Fourth Hokage and Naruto have some awkaward hairdo similarities.

Both Itachi Uchiha and Jiraiya think so. Naruto and The Fourth have the same blond hair, blue eyes and blood type (B). These suspicions are further fueled by the mysteries surrounding The Fourth's past - real name, history and family relations.
My guess is yes he is, especially since Jiraiya who was the Jonin sensei of the Fourth Hokage would have greater insight. Good series.

It's possible, because why else would Jiraiya apologize? Plus Naruto has the same physical appearance as the 4th Hokage....

OMG! You have no idea how many times I have heard this question before! lol! I will stick to my theory that the Fourth had a twin uncle who was Naruto's father, which would explain why the Jiraiya was apologizing. That would make the Fourth, Naruto's uncle.

Yeah, they have obvious similarities. But my sisters and I have these crazy ideas. Like maybe Naruto is the 4th Hokage who have to turn back to being an infant to accomodate the demon and so on and so forth. They are just theories anyway..

I think Jiraiya is Yondaime's father or a relative, and that Naruto is his son. Jiraiya and Yondaime have the same hairstyle but different colors. Naruto is the spitting image of Yondaime sans whisker marks.

no. the reason he said that is because naruto is the fourth's legacy. not his son but the person to whom he sealed the kyuubi so it would be pointless and annoying if naruto got killed just because he was pushed off a cliff.
