So many people...in america, that's how it is. Cali, Tx, and NY have a sh&*load of laws-South dakota, not so many.

All states within the United States have laws that are enforced by the police and govt. Other country's also have laws that they enforce which are different from the ones we have here. Rules are put in place so that no disorder will break out between people, and that other people will be safe and feel safe. California may have rules that other places do not have but simply the enforcement people there want to ensure that people in Cali don't get out of hand and the citizens as well as visitors will always be and feel safe. We have to abide by them so we don't pay fines or face other punishment, but I'm sure that you are just like me and the rest of the people in this world that disagree with the laws that are just plain stupid.

Many reasons.
(1) A big state has more law makers.
(2) More laws create more work for attorneys.
(3) More attorneys create the need for more law
makers. ( I think you get the point).
(4) The further West you go the more liberal it
gets. Liberals are very concerned about the
color of trash cans as it affects global
warming.
(5) California laws protect and serve thousands
of liberal and conservative special interest
groups. More than any other state.
In a massive effort to cut the glut of state
laws to a workable minimum; perhaps it
would help to change the California state
motto to: "Bearly Legal"

Because there be the worst law writin' critters in the known world there:
RICH HOLLYWOOD NIMBY LIBERALS
and they have laws to specifically punish anyone who isn't all of those things!
Anyplace that has a specification for what color mailbox I MUST have and that attempts to tell me what I can't do with my property, which I OWN, can break off into Pacific tomorrow for all I care....

Have you ever noticed that California has a Bear on their flag as the old Soviet Union did? What other state has the motto: Come on vacation and leave on probation"?
