I had a friend who had a second child and when the baby was five months old she began to feel preganant so went to the doctor and told him she thought she was pregnant. He told her it was impossible because he had done a sterilization on her. She had felt morning sickness. Her breast were tender and had started getting milk in them. She continued to feel PG, but no baby came. Finally, after about a year she still felt PG and was feeling more and more ill so she went to another doctor. When he examined her, he told her she was PG, but the baby had died. She had to have emergency surgery to remove the baby. It turns out a stone formation had grown around the baby which the doctor said is the only thing that saved her life because the baby had been in her for 13 months and infection had set in, but had died at about 5 months development. She was in surgery for 6 hours because the stone around the baby had attached to the kidney, the bowel, bladder, intestines, liver, etc. She had to have most of her internal female organs and part of her liver and kidney removed on one side because of deep gangren infections. The first doctor had even insisted she see a psychiatrist because he thought she was having problems accepting the sterilization. She nearly died because he hadn't believed her instincts. Get a couple of doctors opinions. They didn't leave a baby in her, but she had gotten pregnant a couple of months after her baby was born, you see. Then the baby, her third child, died inside of her, but that was not recognized until it was almost to late for my friend. Fortunaltely, my friend did recover from the horrible experience. It turns out that because she had had gestional diabetes the tubes had grown back together which allowed her to be come pregnant.

The only thing I have heard about is a VERY rare condition where a twin isn't completely absorbed by the surviving twin and it grows inside the living child not the mother.

Is it possible you have another condition? You should probably go see you doctor about this.

Although I have never heard of it happening before, and I doubt that it is medically possible, I would probably see a doctor or counsellor, just to make sure everything is ok...

hope it all works out for the best.

No, and you haven't either. You would have probably died already from the chronic infection that would have developed. Maybe you should be at the doctors office instead of Yahoo answers. Make an appointment.

It You feel like there is still a baby in there, then call the doctor. I doubt they would forget a baby. were you expecting twins...?...Maybe you are expieriencing post-partum depression, that can be a factor. Good Luck...

You're probably experiencing post partum depression...either way, you need therapy & possibly medication. Is Woody Allen or Vincent Price around?
