It seems everyone hates Kikyo but no one really dislikes Kagome. I find that strange. I like Kikyo as much as the rest of the characters. Can someone tell me why they don't like her?

well i really don't hate her i mean 50 years ago she was kind and loving but once she was born again she was cold and heartless and far from the girl we all knew 50 years ago so that's one reason
the other reason is that she is in the way of inuyasha and the kagome relationship but its confusing because kikyo is trying to distance her way from inuyasha and the fact the INUYASHA is the one that is chasing after herand not the other way around
the last one is because she thinks she can do everything by herself one way is by giving naraku kagome's shards and i know she says once he collected all the shards she's going to send him to hell but she died by him 2 TiMES already and 3 IN THE MANGA so i see that as a major problem
so i guess those are the main reasons to hate kikyo but i know there are more and its not that i hate her i just hate her in this state now

Kikyo is a plot device. I went through the whole cycle of 1) dont care who she is 2) love her because shes a strong female character and finally 3) realized the true character purpose.
People hate her because she is the ONE thing that will always keep Inuyasha and Kagome from having one of the strongest bonds ever. You probally saw what happened when the baby took possesion of Kagome using the hatred in her heart. Thats about it.

well, i don't really like kikyo because she just comes back and expects her and inuyasha to pick up where they left off as if inuyasha didn't move on. then she realizes how much kagome cares for him and still continues after inuyasha even though she's not really alive. i don't hate her, i just think she should move on since inuyasha already has.

im not really finshed with the series but right now i can tell you that i think kikyo is prettier though they look the sameish
since im not done.. i think that kagome understands people better (just my opinion so far) don't get all mad LOL

I can't stand Kikyo. Kikyo is the embodiment of all that is wrong in the world. Kikyo MUST DIE! AHHHHHHHH!
