The best thing would be to resolve the stressful situation if that is at all possible, or at least to try if anything can be done to alleviate the situation. I recommend you buy or borrow from your local library Glenn Harrold's tape or CD "Complete Relaxation". This will teach you a useful breathing technique called "circular breathing" by which you take a slow deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a few moments, then slowly release it, counting to about 4 or 5 and saying "relax" to yourself as you do so. It will also take you through a guided meditation type thing - it's a hypnotherapy tape. I know many people on here are deeply prejudiced against hypnotherapy and other alternative therapies but they have helped so many people that I'm afraid it's just flying in the face of facts to keep denying that they can work. I tried hypnotherapy in 2002 for IBS which I had had since the late 1980s. I only had to have 3 sessions and have never had a recurrence.

Now this is the secret ---use the cucumbers and then get the ice-cream ready and have sex all at the same time !
Now for real use a vibrator on the back of your neck lay down in the dark , no music or sounds. what you are trying to do is get the blood vessels in the back of the neck to constrict . They are dilated and that puts pressure on the nerves and the blood flow to the brain is not correct oh by the way thinking good thoughts helps as well .

As a holistic therapist, I use lavender gel or a lavender oil compress. the lavender gel though, cools your head and almost instantly smoothes the headache away, if it was a real splitter I might still have a very dull ache, but nothing in comparison.
Its good for other aches and pains too, such as ladies pains! My friend now uses it too

I don't know about cucumbers, but a surprising number of headaches can be cured simply by drinking large quantities of water.

I had migraines caused by stress. My doctor recommended the following (and it worked for me).
1 multivitamin 1x daily
1 B-complex vitamin 1x daily
1 Calcium/Zinc/Magnesium Supplement 2x daily
3 Fish oil capsules 1x daily
This worked for me. I'd check with your doctor first, but this might be something to try

I've only heard of two natural ways to end a headache.
Ice cream and sex.
I don't know if it is true, but I'd love to hope so!
