Actually, I can't hear enough about him this week that makes me feel like i"ve heard too much. I live in the US in Texas, I was awake late sunday - early monday (about 1:30am my time, late sunday night). My comp. flashed for me to go to my main page- important news. I finished what I was doing, which was this site and shot over to my main page.

I think I was one of the first to see it (hear of it) on the internet. It was almost 1:30 am here, sunday night into monday morn. But it was Noon, Monday in Australia when it happened - I don't know exactly when it happened Australia time. I will never forget the time it was in Texas when it came across the net.

Seven hours later I called my parents who were on vacation and not paying attention to any news. I don't even think it was in the news until the next day. But I woke them up at 7:00 AM with the news. My brother in Houston called them on Tuesday, he had just heard.
So... how did the news break so quickly, I would have to say comp. - internet. When I read the story it said "28 min. ago".

Welcome to the 21st century. Once the news hits the net in any way shape or form, it spreads like wild fire. Seems to happen that way more and more.
