Just wanted to know...my boyfriend is taking meds for his heart, and we're trying TTC. I just wanted to know if we did get pregnant, would the meds he's taking have any effect on his sperm or the baby? (quality, quantity, defects...etc) He's in his late 40's as well, so that's a double wammy. Thank you.

i certainly wouldn't worry about the age factor, at all!! the medicine propbably will not matter either, but i would ask a pharmacist or a doctor, just to make sure. my grandma was 18 when she married my grandfather who was in his 50"s. they had 10 kids. he was in his 70's before they were done. good luck, youll be fine.the only real factor is, is that the baby might inheret the heart problem.

This is something that I would discuss with his doctor. Have him make an appointment and go with him. Also, is this something that is genetic? If so please remember that this is something that could possibly be passed on to your children.
