apples consist mainly of water. wether its 84% exactly im not sure anyone knows, but the answer is water. this is why you can eat an apple and not get dehydrated right away, even if you dont drink any water with it. this is also why fruits tend to be less filling in comparison to other things their size. im not sure i could eat a piece of steak the size of an apple, but then again thats protein.
