Water water water! Start drinking at least 4 full glasses a day and then drink the other 2 full glasses as either water or some other decaffeinated drink (my doctor says the caffeine is not really a concern, but do try to limit it to a couple of glasses a day).

Water fills you up - I read somewhere that what we perceive as hunger many times is actually thirst, but our body reads it wrong. So when you feel hungry, drink a glass of water. If you're still hungry 15 minutes later, then have a healthy snack. Many times I find the water has alleviated the hunger.

i lost 20 pounds in like three weights by switching to one meal a day. i would usually have a large salad and a piece of baked chicken. i wouldn't eat anything past 7p.m. i would drink lots of water and if i felt myself getting extremely hungry i would have a fat free yogurt. the first couple of days are HARD..but if you get past them you will hardly have an appeitie because your body will be got use to the fewer calories. Good luck and i hope this helps!

oh yeah..remember to take a multi-vitamnin each day to help with the loss calories.

Drink LOTS of water.....make sure you get 8-10 glases per day. Cut out sugar.......NO soda or fruit juice.

Eat your green leafies. Check with your Dr about portion amounts.

MOVE.......take the kiddos to the park and chase them, walk the mall, walk in the pool.

How do I know this works.......I lost 40 pounds last year......and am working on losing another 35.

Boost water, reduce stress by walking and moving more. Eat more veggies and less junk. Diet is a four letter word. Bikram yoga is a great de-stresser and de-toxifying exercise. Check it out. There are studios all over the world near most metropolitan areas. I lost post-baby flab big time doing yoga.

its amazing all the advice here, but everyone is lacking one cruicial thing, when you are over weight and trying to diet, the fat girl sydrome kicks in.... i know i have been fighting weight loss issues since my daughter was born, i have found what works for me is giving myself a splurge meal or snack one time a week, only one meal or only one snack. So, say sunday i am craving a deluxe breakfast from mc'ds, sunday is my splurge day, I jump in my car and head for the nearest mcd's, this satisfies my cravings and gives me something to look forward to every week... just remember, you have to keep a set day, can't be monday this week and thurday next week and monday the following week, a set schedule for your splurge day is essentual to keeping honest with yourself. the reasons behind the splurge day is to keep you motivated, and not to loose intrest in the diet... but remember to also exersise not diet in this world would stick if you didn't exersise... I have lost 20 lbs since january.... and this helps me keep focused and on track... and not looking in my fridge 20x a day wishing i had some puddin...lol

Eat healthy foods and smaller portions. Quit eating crappy foods. No more fast food, no more junk food, no more snack foods, no late night meals. Drink plenty of water, cut out the sodas and cut back on the alcohol.

Get off the couch and exercise, put down the remote and play with your kids. Take them walking, ride bikes with them, etc.

Gastric Bypass Surgery /gastrectomy/stomach stapling /lapband (all types of bariatric surgery) is very safe nowadays. It is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your obesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her surgery for gastric bypass in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She has lost 65lbs in 5 months. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps
