Alchemy is the theory that one can change Lead to Gold. Lead has a periodic number of 82, gold is 79. That number is the number of protons in the nucleus of the element. Alchemy is basically trying to get 3 protons out of lead. It HAS BEEN DONE, but only in very expensive labs. It costs thousands of dollars to produce a minuscule amount of gold. Try panning in Alaska, I can guarantee you will come home with more gold.

A joke, right?
Alchemy does not work. It is supposd to change one form of matter into another. The classic example is turning lead in to gold. This idea shows up in movies and sci-fi shows every once in a while: someone has *finally* figured out a way to do it, and the good guys have to stop the person before they destroy the worldwide economy, for instance.

Achelmy is the process of turning lead in to gold to do this you would have to re move 1 property from the lead whitch is more than likely impossible you would have to have one hell of a lab to do it the gold would be so low quility it would'nt be worth it other than it would be really cool
