Yes the gravitational pull of the moon does cause thinigs to happen...... could it cause early labor ... Call Vegas on the odds...but I really don't think any one every did that study ...if its your first child at 70% and 3cm .... I give ya a 50 /50 chance before Monday... if you've hard two or more with the last in the previous 18 months .... yuppers I'd give ya a 75% on dropping before Monday........ remember lots of walking ...helps the elastin expand the cervix and the pelvic girdle ...stay off the trampoline ...unless your Jimmy Kimmels wife .. ;-)
Good Luck !!

I work in L&D and we see an increase in deliveries during a full moon, not sure why but we do. Usually second child comes faster than first. I would say pretty good to deliver before Monday. With my children I didn't have contractions untill water broke, all I felt was pressure, some women describe contractions like cramps. Good luck and congrats on new baby!!

I am a RN in the OB unit at a hospital and actually we don't tend to see an increase in the number of labor patients as a result from a full moon as much as we see an increase from rain and storms. When the barometric pressure drops there is a higher incidence of women's water breaking. Also, for whatever reason it happens frequently that women tend to go into labor on their own the night before they are to be induced. As a side-note...full moons do tend to have an effect on people and patients that tend to have more of an issue with confusion and dementia. Good luck to you! It is all worth the wait!

Yes, many hospitals have an increased number of births during a full moon. Dont know why but the cycles of the moon does affect peoples moods and behaviours.

All I can say is that if you want to have this baby with a natural labor, have sex, sex, and more sex, and then go for a long walk! They are not sure why, but more women tend to go into labor during a full moon! Some think it is related to the tides.

Not sure what effect it will have on you labor or contractions, but I know that when the moon is full, the blood tends to stay in the head ( head wounds worse, bad time for head surgery )
perhaps full moon is good time for birth, less bleeding / swelling / inflammation in the pelvic region

No, the completed moon has no result on exertions. no count number what section the moon is in, the completed moon is, for sure, nevertheless there. that means that each and each and every one among its gravity is continuously there, and there is no different mechanism by technique of which it ought to likely have an result, except gravitation. Oh, and solid success along with your infant.

I don't think so... but when I went to the hospital to give birth to my son... they were so overwhelmed with women in labor. A few of the nurses and doctors kept saying it was a full moon out... and the number of women in labor had tripled that night.
Coincidence? maybe!

i think the full moon does effect labour -however i believe when you know your going to be induced you have a good chance of going into labour naturally. i was 3cm dilated with my first and told i was going to be induced on the monday morning, that night i went into labour!

My friend works in a maternity eard in the hospital and says that when there is a full moon there are always more births. Maybe it has to do with the gravitational pull?
