I can safely say that no matter what order you do this in the answer will remain the same. Let me put it this way, if you multiplied 4.8 x 1.2 the answer for that is 5.76 then you have to again multiply that by the equivalents of 106 x 103 which is 10918 making the answer come to 62887.68. but if you did it the regular way, you have 106 x4.8 equalling 508.8 then multiplying that to 1.2 x 103 which is 123.6. Now multiply the two together 508.8 x 123.6 you will equal 62887.68 again. Dugh!! I knew this one. And by the way, make it more complicated next time, this one was far too easy.

Ok Dude...
Here is the real answer...

(4.8 X 106) X (1.2 X 103) = 62 887.68

(4.8 * 106)*(1.2 * 103)
(508.8)*(123.6)

62,887.68

If you're doing it the long way instead of using a calculator, make sure you are putting the decimal points in the right place and are carrying over when you need to.

Do you not own a calculator? Ok then, type it in to Google. Really, it will give you the answer. (since its all multiplication, it doesn't matter what order you do the operations....does that help?)
