I preferred AimStick, I could buy them in bulk at much cheaper costs and they are slightly more sensitive than First Response, but you have to pick them up online. So, for drugstore tests, First Response is the most sensitive.

The accuracy in all of them is the same if you have the test's required level of horomones in your urine, its just the level to which they can detect it that separates them, so although a false positive on any brand of test is unheard of, its the false negatives that get people.

The false negatives have something to do with the sensitivity of the test and also when you ovulated (14 days before your missed period in most women), how long implantation takes (8-10 days in 85% of pregnancies), and the personal rate at which your hCG goes up (doubles every two days after implantation in most women).

I would pick up 2 First Response Tests and start testing tomorrow morning with your first morning urine.

I've also heard really good things about the dollar store cheapies believe it or not...

Here's a site that lists different test brands and their sensitivity level:

Good luck!

I am practically a professional pregnancy test taker....pregnant 5 times. And I always get super anxious and start testing like a week before my period is even due. First Response is the best! It detects the smallest amount of the pregnancy hormone. And watch out for the cheaper brands...it says on the directions not to read tests after ten minutes and that is because a very faint line can appear like a false positive . Don't know why but it will drive you nut. Never had that experience with First Response. Good Luck!

I prefer using First Response just because it's easy to use and it has an applicator lid(compared to store brands). Plus you can use it a couple of days early sometimes. Try and find one that comes in a pack where you get an extra one for free.

Store brands are just as good, but like I said before- no applicator lid(usually). I just like that little luxury I guess.

I tried using Clear Blue Digital once, but I got an error one time and a negative the next. So, I don't know about that one.

I would wait until at least the first day of your missed period or the day before. That way you won't be wasting a test. I know how tempting it is to test earlier though!

Good luck on the results you want.

Hi and congratulations, maybe

I really don't know the best one, but I will tell you this. I have used the E.P.T., as well as one of the generic brands and got the same the correct response, only the generic brand was cheaper.
I bought the generic brand first, and due to doubt, I purchased the E.P.T., and yes, I was pregnant. She is six years old today.
So, get a generic one to save money, then if positive, head to the clinic right away.

Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test worked for me 4 days before my expected periods...i haven't had such a good response with any pregnancy tests...works quick and easy. but store brands also work great...better get a box with 2 tests just to make sure

sometimes it is not good to take a pregnacy test too early, because the results may not be accurate. Wait a total of 7 days and then take the pregnacy test. As far as which one to take, that's up to u and how much u wanted to spend. I used ept two times and it came back neg. I used a $1.00 store brand and it came back pos, which was true.

I used to buy the pricey ones, (ept, clearblue easy), but got tired of spending the $. Both my pregnancies were actually discovered using Equate brand from Walmart. (very cheap) I got positive results using those as early as 4 days BEFORE I was expecting my period. So save your money. Just make sure it says "results before your period" on the box.

First Response and EPT are supposed to be very good. I usually buy store brand everything, but in this case you may want to get a higher priced one for the most accurate results.
