If you are referring to the Steelers/Dolphins game, I would say the coach should have been more urgent in his tossing of the flag. He lazily walked a few feet out and just tossed it to the side and behind the closest ref. If he was serious about it he should have gone out there faster and let someone know that he was challenging. But then I am favoring the Steelers tonight so I guess that's where my bias lies.

I think the technical term is the Nick Saban Rule: "Coaches who make a half-assed attempt at challenging a call, and who use this half-hearted attempt as an excuse to deflect blame to assistant coaches later, shall be duct-taped to a goal post overnight with replays of the play in question re-run on a loop on the jumbotron."

I call it a half-a** toss by a wimp. Are the refs supposed to have eyes in their butts? Cowher would have drilled the ref in the head with the flag, but Saban tosses it out underhand, behind the ref like he really didn't want to bother anyone. No one to blame but himself, so of course , he blames it on some one else.

This is a really lame question. Everyone saw the explanation and the whimpy attempt to throw the flag. Get over it. You a Seattle fan?

I assume you are referring to the Steelers/Dolphins game which I am also watching. The officials did not rule that they would not view it. The coach simply waited much too long to throw the challenge flag, and he did nothing to attempt to alert the officials that he wanted the challenge.

I'm sorry to not be sympathetic to your cause, but the coach has no one to blame but himself.

It was almost as if he didnt want the flag to be seen so that when his team lost miserably he could say it was because they werent given a fair game.

you call it part of the game...happens a lot...it can still be protested after the fact. It just doesn't work to your advantage like it does immediately - there on the field.

if you throw that red flag in the time that you are supposed to it will be relayed downstairs by the officials from upstairs
