Do men need women more than women need men?
Do women need men more than men need women?
Do they both need each other equally? (that's what I think)
Do they not really need each other?
Please explain your answer, and please be honest. I'm happily married, btw.

I think there are variations on this answer.
1) Depends on the relationship. ** married, single etc.
2) Depends on the person ** codependent, independent etc.
3) Depends on the situation ** financial status, society etc.
For a general answer- I would say equally. I think someone needs to be happy with themselves before anyone else can make them happy. I also think that someone who misuses a relationship can make someone unhappy and brainwashed, and feel as though they need the other partner to get by. I personally was VERY happy single...and very poor and tired. I am also VERY happy now that I am married to my husband..and having someone to help with bills and day to day duties is wonderful. I know that if we ever divorced I would be happy again on my own. because I am happy with myself. My husband has always been very co-dependent. Maybe it's because he's male...maybe it's because of the type of person he is..I don't really have the answer to your question, I just thought I would give my two cents, and let you read my thoughts.

I'd say that natively it's women who need men more, but as each grows older that's reversed. The reason I say that is that a lot of older women learn how to live without guys because they've been burned too many times, but guys still need to be with a lady even if they have been burned a lot, as I have been. Think it's just the way things are.

Things need to have balance. Male need female. Female need male. That is why society always has problems when one sex is in power over the other.
Read the book Miss Measure of a Woman by Carol Tavris. It is an excellent book of information about how society perpetuates the differances between men and women and the harm that it does. Good question!

I think men need women to take care of them more, but I need my husband just as much in different ways to support me.
I think it is equal when you are happily married.

I personally think that they need each other equally also. That is the way a good relationship works out. If you each treat the other one like you want to be treated then things are OK.

It isn't based on the sex of the person. it is based on that individuals need, and enmotional status. Example. I left my husband. I have an occasional fling, nothing serious, not ready for that. My ex jumped right into a serious relationship because he is codependant. He feels emotionally he needs someone all the time, he can't be alone. I just miss snuggling at night personally. It isn't what sex needs the other more, it's what the individaul's emotional needs are.

My thoughts would be that males are far more in need of women than the reverse. We need women just to become who we are through birth. We need women (the majority of time) at our death bed as they act as our nurses - not trying to be sexist but fact is there are more female than male nurses. We need them throughout our entire lifes to help us make many important decisions. Women are the true rulers of the world. Great question by the way!!!

i think for a lot of cases it's equal. but also A LOT of other cases it the man who will end up needing the woman more. guys actually fall harder than girls do. guys will recognize love a lot easier [i think] than a lot a females ever will. i think most people would guess women need men more, but i think the only case with that it their emotions.
