I know this is a really strange question, but it brings into mind a "Friends" episode. Tell me that you've at least thought about whether you'd be missed.

Please check out my other question. I'm very curious.

Yes...& only this morning too.
My ex-husband who was a DRUNK and an ABUSER (me & my kids) died and the funeral parlour was PACKED.... He had friends from far & wide who came to pay their respects. & I wondered if anyone would give a 'tinker's dam' about me...and how few would show up at my memorial.
I know I'll be missed by my family...but friends? ... ha! that I doubt! My family are my friends.

i have thought about it. i had a friend who died six years ago. he thought his life had very little meaning. he always thought of himself as a burden to his friends and family. the truth was, he wasn't. he wondered if anyone would notice if he disappeared. well, he's gone now. (car crash). his funeral was huge! his best friend still isn't over it. he got a tattoo of my friend on his arm, (it looks just like him!) i miss him greatly. when he died it got me thinking. would i be missed like that? it sounds odd, but it popped into my head. but it's not a thought that's planted in my mind. it popped in and popped back out. but it is and interesting thought.

Well, you do have a point there. Just Imagine if a loved one died, the others would never forget it! They would be hurt for ages to come, probably till death, it must feel terrible!

Yeah I've thought of it.

I kinda makes me sad that life (and friends) just move on.

I don't think anyone would miss me, which is sad -- I've lived a life of service to my students and the community.

But, life just moves on.....

not worried if i'd be missed. most thoughts in this area are that i hope i've set up enough insurance and savings to take care of the family i would leave behind.

It wouldn't even leave a dent-sad, huh
Oh, and it's not a strange question at all.
I would think, if they are honest, everyone has given this thought.

my daughter (whom i love very much and is my best friend) says she will be ready to throw a party...open bar with a band..with my friends there..to honor my wishes...to celebrate w/me once last time my life, instead of mourning my death...i would rather people be laughing at days gone by and having fun then feeling sad...what is that point..at this point in time no tear shed shall be of help to me...

Not on good speaking terms with my family and I don't have any friends, so no, I would not be missed.

I've thought about it, but is so unpredictable and abstract it always ends up seeming like a waste of my time. Which it probably is.
