The equation can be simplified to

y=1+5/x

which means it's a standard hyperbola that's been been shifted up 1 unit.

The domain is (-infty,0) and (0,infty) (that's the whole x-axis without the zero).

The range is (-infty,1) and (1,infty) (the y-axis without the point 1)

The asymptotes are therefore x=0 and y=1.

as you know in the fractions below the fraction can never be 0 .
so domain is all the real numbers EXCEPT zero.

it means
Domain = R - { 0 } , or , (-∞ , 0) U (0 ,∞+).

now range ;
y = (x+5)/ x = x/x + 5/x = 1+ 5/x
y-1 = 5/x
so it means y cant be ' +1 '
Range = R - { +1} or ;(-∞ , +1) U (+1 ,∞+).

good luck.

The domain of x is -∞ < x < ∞ and x not equal 0.

The range of y is -∞ < y < ∞
