Well as a straight man that showers in a gym daily, I don't really pay attention. How would I know of the 11 guys in the gym, the one that's homo? Why would I care? Chances are, I'm not his type and no matter what, I know that I am definitely not his. I have had more than one guy come up and hit on me in my day and at the very least felt "well at least someone here thinks I'm hot." Granted it hasn't happened in a lockerroom but if I can't look at a room full of people and pick out all the "homos" how can I expect them to pick out the heteros? Again, unless you are curious to try anything with that one gay guy, why would you worry? Hell, make friends with him. Chances are he hangs out with hotter chicks than you do.

It's done all the time. Most people never realize that the guy is gay and most don't care. If everyone in a man's locker room follows etiquette there should be no problem. Men shower together in situations like that because they have to, not because they get some perverse kick out of it. You do what you have to do to get clean and not smell or look dirty when you go to your next class, a job, or go home after a game.
Men checking each other out, as far as penis size goes? They all do that sooner or later, including most straights. Nobody cares as long as the guy does not make a habit of it or stares for an inordinate amount of time. And the guy who stares a lot is probably straight as an arrow -- men compare themselves to others, physique-wise, etc.
There are very few men who violate locker room etiquette, including gay people. And once again, most gay or bi people don't make it a practice to announce their sexual preference in a room full of naked men. The vast majority of all men in such situations want to get in the shower as quickly as possible, clean up, towel off, dress, and get out of there, period.

I'm sure some of the str8 men would have a problem with it. If its community showers, then it should'nt be a big deal, but men can be extremely shallow. So long as the gay man didnt try to force himself onto any of the str8 men or act at all flamboyant, it would'nt be a problem. Wrong place and wrong time for that. If someone did have a problem with it the gay man should simply tell that person to wait until he's finished before he showers or vice versa.

I don't see anything wrong with it, unless the person is getting turned on and showing it. At that point it starts to make everyone feel uncomfortable, which to a degree violates some of their "rights".
I'm straight, and I wouldn't want to shower with some girl I didn't know, or any girl other than my own for that matter. It would make one uncomfortable.
So I would say I discourage it if you started to make others feel uncomfortable, but not because of it being an issue of being gay, rather just common courtisey to other people.
But if they don't know, and you don't show it, nothing wrong with it at all.

I would think that he's a probably a member of the same team as the others & that it shouldn't be a problem. I've been on teams with guys who were straight and guys who were gay. Nobody was afraid that they were going to be assaulted in the shower -we were teammates.

Does it really matter??? Just because he is gay doesn't mean he wants to be with, or checking out those other guys. If someone had a problem with it, it's because they're insecure with themselves. I'd discourage it if they knew he was gay and were homophobes.

does it matter? Unless you are trying to make a pass at them I wouldn't worry about it. If they're anti gay and they know that the man is gay, then I would discourage it. However it they haven't a clue, I wouldn't worry about it.

Why would I be either? It's probably in a locker room. Gay's sweat and need showers just like heteros do.

the fact that they're gay does not change the fact that they are male. They shouldn't be allowed to shower with girls or use the girl's bathrooms because they are men. Not women.
