Terrorism is a business and like its Corporate Sponsors of Various countries its goals are political for financial gain.
The ideological part is for the lower ranking members to be used as pawns and this twisted world of political intrigue and espionage. The CIA is the worlds largest and most successful terrorist organization., and it has its affiliates ...namely al-Qaida.
These organizations disrupt ,execute , and manipulate world financial markets thereby making huge sums of money for their investors...who on the other hand are always saying that we must fight terrorism...it is very sweet deal for these minds who plot destruction.

The war on communism was equally phony and contrived. It was about a bunch of countries that decided that the wealth of an individual would benefit the everyone. Capitalists couldn't stomach that and came up with embargos to keep other countries from trading with them. The war on terrorism less clear because so much of it is propaganda, or strife caused by the Capitalists (called Neocons these days). The answer is to expose the Neocons for what they are doing and then rely on DIPLOMACY (odd word for internet rats-they should look it up) to bring people back together.

The US plutocracy seeks to further US corporate empire over the world through a future of perpetual war under the guise of fighting terror, and fighting communism was probably another guise to increase the ultra rich fortune by increasing the race for arming

Communism was a political issue advocating people to rise up against their oppressors. Terrorist is based in Islamic faith and not all are extemest, though fundamentalist are often seen as extremest. Both have been threats and very real.

Communism is a proven flawed ideaology time after time.
terrorism is just that it is terrorism, that is used to kill for it's own agenda in whosoever the character (s) is behind the act.

It seems more real looking at it through the lens of history but it was just another phony war like this one. They just couldn't keep up the lie for another 50 years. It was truth that won out, not capitalism.

It was clearer as the governments supporting communism identified themselves as such.
Today, the governments supporting terrorism, primarily Islamofacist regims and perhaps some of the formerly communist ones, try to keep their support of terrorism secret. They know that to openly support the terrorism they engender would result in quicker response from the rest of the world.

No. If you believe the war on terror isn't real, you must have slept late that September morning. As for boring, tell that to the families of victims of terrorism.

That's a really insightful question. I'd say they are about equal in their "threats" to our everyday lives.
So, they are scare tactics to keep us distracted while they do things like use our military to help American oil companies stay profitable in the middle east etc.
