Funny you should ask this, because I was just checking out Junior Brown's myspace page!
Growing up, I HATED COUNTRY MUSIC. When I was older, I stumbled across Junior Brown - the guy is an amazing guitar player! But he's old school - twangy honky-tonk country-western music. But I love it. Because of him and a guy named Dale Watson (AUSTIN TX), I found great old country artists like Ernest Tubb, Red Foley, Faron Young, Waylon Jennings, Hank Sr, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, JOHNNY CASH...
Country music - SINCERE COUNTRY MUSIC, NOT THE POP MUSIC THEY PLAY ON CMT - is WONDERFUL!

I like a mix of a lot of different music and do like country. Mostly the older style and not so much what is out there now. Hip-Hop is terrible and that techno must apeal to brain dead people. "Then I am not young and in that groove.

I like late seventies and eighties country, but not so much current country music.
