When I read this I thought, "Oh, skittles."

I believe the rainbow would taste like various fruits.
Red for strawberry, Orange for orange (or Clementine), Yellow for bananas, and so on and so forth.

Logically, it would taste like...light pigments? But that's quite boring if you ask me.

I choose fruits because they come in different colors.

Actually, the rainbow has been said by many leprechauns to taste like a mixture of grape Kool-Aid and Squirt.

Put in a blender, Grapes, Maraschino Cherries, Orange Sherbet, a few drops Lemon, a few drops Lime and some Blueberries and there you will have a rainbow smoothie.

I was actually going to say it'd taste like Skittles ;) Ok, how about Starburst? But b/c it's "light", there wouldn't be any fat or calories ;)

I love this question, how very imaginative of you. I think it would taste like a donut with rainbow sprinkles.

ordinarily i'd say like fog/smoke in the air but of different flavours, however if the rainbow looked more like food i would say like a rainbow iceblock - very delicious whilst tasting all the different colours in your mouth all at once.

not a clue, but it has been said that many famous writers (ie shakespear and thoreau) could taste color. Their senses were so strong that if they were to walk into an eggplant colored room, they would have to leave because it overpowered their sense of taste and smell. i've also heard that you can train your brain to do this.

I agree with Catsrule--ice cream in various fruity flavors and Christmas ribbon candy.
