Yes, it dove into the ground. The NTSB removed as much of the wreckage as they could, but bits & pieces remain and are still being found. It's almost impossible to recover every single bit of a devastating wreck like that. I found bits of wreckage from old crashes in the dirt next to the flight line at the Oakland (California) Airport during an airshow, some as big as my hand. Chances are you'll find the same at any airfield with a bit of history behind it.

it is my understand that like any other plane crash, the remains of the plane and contents, including the bodies are removed. even though the plane hit the ground nose in, it was recoverable. much easier than lile flt 800 which blew up over water and scattered.

The debris field was 8.5 miles because it was shot down.

i think they would remove it...i dunt think they would leave it in the ground like that , like they would at least check and investigate off of the evidence
