Does anyone know of a medication over the counter for lower back pain due to epidural*(the show you are given in you spine for pain due to contractions before giving birth). I have two kids and both time have had the shot. The doctor always told me it would cause lower back pain and boy does it. Advil, bayer i have tried any other suggestions.

Get a script from the doctor for some tylonol with codine.

I don't remember having any lower back pain after my epidural with my children, but would maybe a warm heating pad work? And could the doctor maybe prescribe you something? What is it called, hydrocodone or something?

lay down...you may need a blood patch (to make the blood coag in the puncture area ).
