depends on the university. Many upper-private universities may see if you are in "good standing" (are you a very troublesome student and all that) at your high school, but I wouldn't worry about it too much if you're going to a state university, and definitely not for a community college.

Some colleges take one with highest grades,
and then one son of former graduate.

Some like those that live at a great distance,
added to their roster so that they will have broader call from all over america for future enrollment/ 4000 colleges to choose from... even relgious ones.. jut get conversion kit. Talk away= their way.
Remember ... it is a money making business.
your athletic and extra curricular aare interesting to bring in other students. If you were dumb movie starlet or basketball champ easier choice....small colleges cannot afford football.

Your parents donation of a gym or just cash-- is helpful while you are partying there, before you get a job and married.

State and community are less cash concious, all need money--- and cannot pay prestigious teachers... all nice guys, but big names draw in fame, and get corporate + govt. money for experiments.

Depends on if you are wanting to attend a college or university. Most Universities that that are competitive entrances will look at those things. Most Jr. colleges do not care as long as you meet their testing criteria. Then if you go to a Jr. college and do well, you could always transfer to a better U.
