You know the obvious ones. Michael, Elvis, Prince, Elton, Ozzy, guys like that. Who do you think should be in there?

Hmm...as far as music, Madonna should definitely be in there...

All time? That's a hard one. Look at someone like Janis Joplin - she was pretty controversial in her time, but if she were around now...she wouldn't generate any headlines.

I guess it depends on the era of music - you've got Elvis and Little Richard back in the 50s, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Who in the 60s, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, or Led Zepplin in the 70s, Madonna or Prince in the 80s, Marilyn Manson in the 90s...the more things change, the more they stay the same!

Cannibal Corpse. Im not a fan, but if you want violent, sick nihilistic music, they're your band. Songs include: Meat Hook Sodomy (And that's one of the less graphic names)

Jesus & Mary Chain. They'd sell out shows in pubs & clubs in England, and then play the whole set with their backs to the audience, and often walk off stage after only 10 minutes. Many of their shows ended in violent riots.

Screwdriver. Mediocre 1970-1980's punk band from London is only mentionable for the number of riots that occured at their shows (heaps), and the fact that they were neo-nazis. (They sucked as well.)

Jihad Against America. A small relatively unknown hardcore band from Melbourne made up of elements of other bands. They write deliberately offensive songs with titles like: Terrorism is the new black........

And since when does being gay make for a contraversial artist? It isnt the 1960's anymore.

Alice Copper was named the "Best Love Song Writer" and the "Grossest Man on Earth" all in the same year! I think that may be considered very controversial.
