It seems every other week there are yankee barbarians talking of seccession. In a tirade full of misspelled words they accuse southern gentlemen such as myself of everything from being a drain on society to idiocy to illiteracy. I would expect such a string of abuse from a semi literate elementary school student, but based on the pictures and attempts at coherent sentences it must be concluded that these are adults who are acting like children. This partcular question betrays that the questioner got his information from one of those news segments that depicted the state by state results of the last presidential election. The talking head said something like "see the states colored red, those are bad and stupid. see the states colored blue, they are good and smart."

You've obviously got your mind made up about the South but for the record, I've never supported Bush, seen anything resembling NASCAR, am against the Iraq war and don't know what you mean when you say wack job.

I'm ready to. I think we are too divided to come back to center. It has really gotten bad since Bush has been in. You are either totally for him or against him. This war, religion, our deficit, gay marriage, abortion on and on. We are a nation divided and getting more so every day. I wish we (progressives and liberals) could realistically immigrate out before this country gets what the world is ready to give it. Who would want us? No one wants Americans to move to their country. I'd say yeah we should secede, but most states are fairly divided too.

I would only be in favor of any secession if Northern California can stay out of it. We should (and could be) our own nation. We would also get to keep our water. So there, So Cal.
