I know many people don't know about this war going on for years. It is one of the USA' s best kept secrets, but yet this war goes on. I even heard plans about a large wall being built on the border to keep the two states at bay. Living in Minnesota, we see many escaping the violence and war in this state, like Montana and Nebraska..

West Virginia separated itself from Virginia during the Civil War. I don't think either state would want to unify and lose 2 senators while keeping the same number of representatives.

They never were one state to begin with. According to the Constitution, they can't combine. And they would be giving up two senators--they wouldn't want to do that.
