"Yesterday, Laksamana Mohd Amin Alang’s and Ngah Ibrahim’s remains were exhumed from the Muslim cemetery in Choa Chu Kang here, after almost a century of being banished from Malaysia".

Looking at this news, the remains of both warriors were at S'pore all this time and only now its been released to Malaysia. Why is that?

Simple, since the British see these 2 fellow as potential problems for the resident in Perak, The brits send them to exile in Singapore. The 2 fellow died in Singapore. Since Perak so far away during that time, and following the muslim tradition for quick burial of the dead, the 2 were just buried there.

The return is largely due to the fact the muslim cemetary may need to be closed down as Singapore may need land for its development. Since the 2 were historically important, they were returned to Malaysia. If not, the 2 would just be buried in some other places in singapore

I don't know. Btw, if the british was to execute these warriors, why didn't they just cremate 'em.? instead of kicking them to s'pore?
