I have a .fla and .swf file that was created using Macromedia flash on a Mac in Flash 6.0 r25. what does the r25 mean? Also I try to open it on Flash MX 6 on a PC and I get errors, is this normal? I am not sure what is wrong. I believe my school has the acedemic version, is there a specific size restraint on what I can open?

r25 might actually mean revision 25. Anyway you didn't list what TYPE of errors you are getting, if they are syntax errors from the actionscript coding yes, those are probably normal since some of the actionscript syntax may have been updated.
