No, the green flash is not a comic book super hero, but the last moment of light as the sun sets on a smooth horizon such as the ocean. Refraction and absorption cause the setting sun's last instant before setting to flash with a beautiful emerald green. What were the conditions and setting where you saw it? Was it as beautiful as I've heard.

The green flash is sorta like UFO's or ghosts...it isn't supposed to exist, but I've seen it..... first time was sunset on Kaanapali Beach, Maui winter time, crystal clear weather - no haze. It was WAY cool. I've seen it a time or two since while on oil drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

it would want to be an analogous phenomenon of aurora as that in north pole. or basically overshot spectrum, stated from kinds of try on rays, like laser or some kind of secret try. secret bases were got here upon suspected for sporting secret try which incorporates weapon. idk. there is not any such adventure at my position (equatorial). surely once in late 1960's, there replaced right into a short astounding rounded gentle contained in the eastern sky at about 3:00 am. no one knew. No rationalization.

Yes. I was ferrying a Gulfstream to Hawaii at 44,000 feet.

It's real intense and a very pure green.

I've been told that you can also see it from orbit crossing the terminator in either direction.
