how do u know if ur really in love?

i mean like real unconditional love without thinking of past relationships. is there a way u could test urself with this?

there are many definitons to love but we humans get confused as we try to understand it.. for it is time that understands love the most and it's time that we don't have much.

if you'r thinking of past relationships then you havent' move on from the past and thus you have stopped your time.

i don't know if you can actually test yourself for this but just be honest with your feelings then i'm sure everything will go fine..

I think the best indicator of real love (which is there through the good and the bad) rather than caring alot about a person is how the both of you react when going through a really difficult situation. Do you put his needs and feelings on at least the same level as your own? Does he do this for you?

A way to see if this is the case could be to arrange it such that you two do something which is out of your normal comfort level - like going camping if you are city people, or going on an extended road trip on a tightish budget. These difficult things will show you how you guys get on - no matter what the situation.

It is not looking back and saying I wish he was like this or like that. It is knowing you would be lost if he wasnt there holding your hand or just to say a nice word. You cant test it because there is nothing in the world deep enough to put it next to. Think about what you would do if he wasnt there. Could you easily move on or would you try to get back together and work it out. How hard would you try? Would you try at all. If it isnt meant to be dont force it. If you want to be with someone else it is not true love. If you fantsize about other men it isnt true love. Love also has to be worked at. It is a fight sometimes and easy at others. You have to want it in order for it to last. That is what makes it work. As long as it is felt on both sides and you both are willing to work for it, then it can be considered true love. I can tell you the test of real love...waiting for your fiance to come home...I haven't seen mine since February. I love him so much; I'd do anything for him, as I know he would for me. We talk on the phone as much as we can, but obviously, it's not always possible for him. He had surgery about a year ago, but he wasn't here. He was in another state at the time. The chances of survival were pretty low...I almost quit everything (my job, college, etc.) to go spend all the time left we could! Needless to say, with a lot of praying to God, my fiance is still alive and I finished school.

You're in love if you know that his happiness is more important thatn your very own. You're in love if you are more concerned with his pleasure [sexually] than your own. If the thought of being without that person makes you want to die, you're in love. If you want to wake up next to him and go to sleep next to him everyday for the rest of your life, you're in love! If your heart flutters everytime he calls or comes home or to your house, you're in love.

I feel like [when my fiance and I] enter a room, a ray of sunshine is over us and people become happier (silly I know). I trust my fiance, being so far away, as he does me. When he comes home, we're gonna get married and spend the rest of our lives together...happily!

Love is a beautiful feeling...it's being on cloud 9 all the time, no matter what's happening! It's when he's the most important thing in your life.

You said the key word. "Unconditional." If you find yourself thinking, "he's really great, but ... " That little "but" can mean disaster down the road. If you think he'd be wonderful, if I could only get him to stop doing this... or start doing that ... If you have to change someone to make them into what you want, then they are not the one you want.
