This sounds stupid but it works. Take a Safety Pin and pin the pad from the outside on the front and back of your underwear. Just don't use your best underwear.

I know what you mean. It's even worse if the flow is heavy.
There are several ways around that. I have to use the overnight pads with wings.

I also have a mattress cover that protects my bed during that time. For bad leaks you can use what's called "chucks" They are a pad with a plastic backing. They can cover the sheets. Or even a towl can help.

If all else fails during heavy times, the adult pullups are another option as they absorb a lot and don't twist and bunch. Plus, no one knows they are there. Just like wearing underwear. Great for protecting lightly colored work clothes during that time.

Someone recently wrote that sanitary belts and napkins were back. However archaic that system was, it might work better for you. You can probably make something like that, that may work. In really olden days women would put something around their waist to act like a belt. You could get some fabric and make a sash. Then using safety pins to hook it to the sash, put a strip of fabric between your legs, like a loincloth. You can put the pad into this or just more fabric (which you would also safety pin in and remove to wash). From the internet, I got a reusable fabric pad, that is washable. It has to be safety pinned in, as it has no sticky on it.

This still may bunch, but it is held firmly against your body, so it it likely to catch more.

Have you ever considered a 'menstrual cup'? I use this on my heavy days. It holds a lot without leaking. It is similar to a diaphram as it is placed over the cervix. Unlike tampons, it is safe to wear overnight (up to 12 hours) and does NOT cause toxic shock sydrome.

If this doesnt appeal to you, try Tena bladder control pads, or Promise pads. These come in various large sizes that are very good for nightime wear.

I like Always extra long maxi pads for that very reason. Make sure your underwear is pretty snug and not loose fitting at all. My problem was when I sat up in the morning and it would be like a dam broke.

You can always put a bath towel under you at night or a pad that's used for incontinence that can be bought where they sell similar items. I'm talking about the same pads they use in hospitals or nursing facilities.

Cheer up - eventually you'll hit menopause.

I've found the ones with wings almost completely eliminate that problem of pads moving about in your undies. Always brand. But also wear pj bottoms, and I find high-leg-cut snug-fitting undies are good, like high-cut brief or french bikini.

use pads with wings cuase they stay in place at night. Maybe you should try to use another pad cuase i don't see how normal pads don't stick.
