(Just wondering...)

This example for instance. This guy at work agreed to take a future shift of mine, because I had an appointment scheduled for that day....then, just as it was being finalized by the supervisor, he called to say he "suddenly remembered" he had a "dentist" appointment that day for his braces. Do you feel that people generally tell the truth about things? or Do they feel the need to lie about things to get out of them? He could have just said no.

Many people use lies as a way to escape, what many don't realize though is that if they'd just be honest in the first place they would have fewer problems. Sorry that happened to you, not everyone is dishonest! = )

Well, sit right down for this one...

Whenever I have to listen to Bush speak, almost every word seems like a lie to me. I can't help but feel this way, because everything he says has no meaning.

This gets filtered down throughout society.

They used to say... The fish stinks from the head down.

Very true.

Believe only in yourself. If you feel you try to be truthful most of the time (we all say little white lies), then let the others get caught in their web of lies.

I try my best to tell the truth and honor my words by good deeds.

I wouldn't have used that excuse because I haven't seen a dentist in over ten years. I take care of my teeth. No...really.

I have my original teeth, except for a few.

Sadly, I think I'm lied to a lot. But I wouldn't say one hundred percent of the time. I'd like to think I've got better friends than that. I'd say, maybe forty precent of the time I feel like I'm being lied to. Well, with the exception of enduring those stories of Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and any other myths parents tell their children.

I think your right people lie its just human nature. If someone tells you they have never lied then they are lying to you.

Not often. I switch the channel when GWB is on TV, then listen to PBS commentary.
