I'm actually seriously curious here, the parents that have had children in grades 6-12 would know that when sex ed is going to be taught, the school legally needs permission from the parents to have the student enrolled in the class.

I'm actually just wondering why the government feels they need to intervene and actually have the school ask the parents first, has knowledge ever seriously hurt or killed anyone?

the schools have to give parents the choice to opt their child out of the class for religious or other reasons. some parents do choose to educate their children at home about these issues and would prefer for their child to not hear it at school.

Some parents are uncomfortable with their kids even knowing about sex, which is stupid. It's true though. Some parents never adress the subject and pretend that it doesn't exist. This usually causes problems because the kid will then rely on friends and experimentation to learn about sex.

I think that sexual education should be mandatory in schools. And by the way things are looking, it should be taught as young as 6th grade. There are many 6th graders and sometimes even younger getting pregnant and contracting STDs. Prevention methods should also be taught. When I took sex ed, they only told what happens, not how to protect yourself. I also think that a refresher course should be taught every couple of years to make sure that the information is learned and the students are up-to-date on current practices.

The saddest thing is that the schools shouldn't have to step in. The parents should take the responsibility to talk with their kids about sex.

When I went to school, the school didn't ask my parents and it was mandatory. I guess the government feels the need to teach it because some kids are only getting information from other kids (only half of which is true) and to decrease teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases which the government would have help pay for if the parent's aren't able to.

i think of the gay guy can carry on with the curriculum basically besides as each individual might. you think of history instructors like all of the bullshit they should place across to pupils? If that became into the case, classification may well be abolished. I doubt any of those instructors have been in wartime. they simply carry on with the set up lesson plan, and little ones pass living house a tad bit smarter. basically as that. you do no longer ought to get in some female to have the skill to coach intercourse-ed. Howeever, i might by no skill enable a non secular finatic teach intercourse ed, and theres a lot of explanation why. Is that why you asked this question? because of the fact your faith is against homosexuality or why else? basically curious to coach a factor. additionally, many many animals, many times mammals, have gay "unnatural" intercourse, so i don't be attentive to the place that remark of what's "organic" got here from, do some interpreting on biology please in the previous finding out organic from unnatural. Heres some thing just to throw you off: Dolphins homicide and have intercourse purely for relaxing, look it up, I **** you no longer. they have additionally been wide-unfold to rape human beings, (enticing in opposite beastiality)

We don't ask permission in my school. Teachers just send a letter home saying "we are going to teach this on these days...if you have a problem you should keep your child home". That's the gist of the letter...

haha, i agree. i dont think any parents seriously want to talk to their kids about that stuff, and if they do, then they are weird. i think it should be a requirement so kids know at an early age and prevents them from doing stupid things without the knowledge.
