They just dont get it and find it hard to laugh at themselves. Irony,sarcasm,satire, flippancy...etc. Even a sense of humour is a good start. Does it really needs to be so serious (you guys)

What about Fahrenheit 9/11? That's all about American's laughing at themselves??? & Team America (F*CK Yeah!)/ Hot Shots/ Simpsons/ South Park etc....
I'm British but there is so much American Comedy that laughs at it's self - we're very good at it too!
